7)Tomatin Spring - Summer 39 Jahre 1962 - 2001 43%

A fine golden colour with a big peppery
and spicy nose which will probably
cleanse the sinuses! The light body

in turn lead to a finish which lingers, and
has the hallmark of old fashioned candy.

and spice to the palate in a slightly
warming style. The finish is short, dry
and gingered.

9) Brora Autumn - Winter 25 Jahre 1975 - 2001 43%
Suggestive of an Islay on the nose, this
North Highlander, situated by the sea,
is rather oily on the palate. It´s spiciness
may tingle your tongue as it runs the
gamut of flavours from Malty sweetness
to spicy fruit, finishing with what again
could be an Islay Type, clean, sea
saltiness.

10) Glenrothes Autumn - Spring 27 Jahre 1975 - 2003 43%

nicely of pld fashioned fruit - shops and

Carrying a marriage of the sea and
fruitiness on the nose, enjoy ist saline

which runs on and on, tinged late by sea
weed and iodine. ( F )

full of honey and dried fruit. The finish
lasts and is sweet, full and long

22) Glendullan Summer - Autumn 15 Jahre 1985 - 2000 43%

Light golden in colour-full and robust on

evidence* of the maturation which has
taken place in Bodega sherry USA oak
casks. It's body will richly coat your
mouth in definite sweet fruit and
nuttiness. The finish is exemplary,
warming and fal longer than most.
The Glendullan is definitly no dullard and
should prove to be a most delicious and
distinguished digestif.

on the long but surprisingly dry finish.

30) Scapa Autumn - Winter 14 Jahre 1989 - 2004 46%

earthy, fruity and spicy with hints of
honey. The finish is quite dry, with citrus
and smoke trailing away.

31) Rosebank Spring - Autumn 11 Jahre 1989 - 2000 43%

A honeyed / floral nose becomes more
accentuated with the addition of water.

water, gives rise to an attractive clean,
yet fruity palate. The soft dry finish would
make for an excellent aperitif.

32) Clynelish Summer - Autumn 11 Jahre 1989 - 2000 43%

This Northern Highlander is from the
mainland but ist qualities suggest as
Island background so reminicent is it of
the sea. It has light golden colour and a

dry, but with water added the whole
spectrum is surprisingly sweetness. It is
a treat to all the senics.

33) Imperial Winter - Winter 11 Jahre 1989 - 2001 43%

Ist light Glod colour does not suggest
that this one's Body is as fulland slightly
oily as it is. It's nose carries some of the

to show itself in it's sweet and malty
palate.This together with it's slight
peatiness, will lead to an excellent after
dinner Malt.

35) Ardbeg Autumn - Winter 9 Jahre 1990 - 2000 43%

36) Bruichladdich Spring - Summer 13 Jahre 1990 - 2003 46%

Its light colour belies the depth of
alfactory heaviness which is apparent in
the glass with salt tinged floweriness.
The body is smooth, a little oily and the
palate does not immediatty suggest
Islay althought beyond its dryness and
floral tribute lies that certain saltiness of
its Maritime history, more apparent on
its long and warm finish.

37) Macallan Spring - Spring 12 Jahre 1990 - 2003 61,3%

powerful fruit, rich Malt and buttery
qualities, all of which can similarly be
picked up on the finish.

38 ) Tormore Spring - Autumn 10 Jahre 1990 - 2000 43%

With its fine gold colour you should
detect a clean, nutty and dry nose. The
body is full and oily with vanilla and a
nutty hint of marzipan on the palate. Dry
initioally, it is followed by a full
sweetness which finishes long. A real
vanilla and almond " smoothie " and
more interesting on the finish than the
initial palate might suggest.

39) Rosebank Summer - Summer 14 Jahre 1990 - 2004 46%

Most aperitif in style - on the nose

61) Highland Park November - September 10 Jahre 1993 - 2004 46%

Scotland´s most Northerly distillery is
also reputedly one of Scotland´s oldest.
Whilst the current distillery dates back
to 1795, stories of Magnus Eunson, a
local preacher and distiller, hail from an
earlier, more exiting time. One such
story has Eunson maturing his whisky
under his pulpit to avoid detection, whilst
on another occasion he outwitted the
Exise men by hiding his whisky in a
coffin; claiming the deceased had
suffered from smallpox. Traditional floor
maltings produce a heavily peated malt
which contributes to Highland Park´s
reputation an being one of the great
all-rounders in the whisky world.

62) Linkwood Winter - Winter 11 Jahre 1993 - 2004 46%

The initial nose is quite fresh, with Citrus
and Apple skins. A full, well rounded
Body leads onto an oily, lemony rich
palate with wisps of smoke hiding in the
bachground. The finish is long, crisp and
clean.

63) Lochnagar Winter - Winter 12 Jahre 1993 - 2005 46%

Immediately reminiscent of an old
fashioned sweet shop; toffee, fruit candy
and fudge aromas fill the air, reminding
us of its Sherry cask maturation. The
body is rich and full, leading to a mouth-
filling palate of toffee apples and candy
floss - all the fun of the fair! The finish is
light, but lingers to leave you wanting
more... ( S )

64) Brachla Autumn - Summer 5 Jahre 1994 - 2000 59,3%

Often justifiably termed `Royal Brackla`
ist old wardrobe nose is secreted with
fruit. Initially dry on the tongue, its light
to medium body bursts forth with burnt
raisin and fruity treacle. It gives way to
a dry and spiced finish. It all benefits
further ( and more than with some ) by
the addition of water.

65) Caol Ila Spring - Summer 10 Jahre 1994 - 2004 46%

Robustly Islay in style, ist nose is
sweety smoky, coastal and tideline,
salty and seaweedy. The body is oily,
thick, leading to a palate full of tarry
beach andwet sea sand quality - all
finishing sweet, oily, smoky, complex
and satisfying. ( F )

66) Tamnavulin Winter - Winter 10 Jahre 1994 - 2005 46%

Wonderfully fruity on the nose initially, it
runs to all hinds of sweet candy and
woody wardrobe smells. The palate is
complex being grassy, resinous, spicily
warming, oily and smoky with late
sweetness. All are apparently replicated
in the malty finish. ( F )

67 )Auchentoshan Spring - Winter 10 Jahre 1995 - 2005 46%

Beautifully sweet, grassy and herbal on
the nose, the body is light weighted and
the palate carries sweet, with fructose,
sugar, and even lightly smoked
complexities. The finish also is smoky,
but now much drier than the palate
would suggest. ( F )

68 ) Caol Ila Spring - Spring 10 Jahre 1995 - 2005 58%

Initially " wet - earthy" sweet on the
nose, it warms to the anticipated true
Islay phenolic quality. The palate is
immediately full - on and distinct peat,
followed by salt and pepper plus
warming spices - tinged now by a late,
attractive sweetness; all finishing round,
sweet and phenolic. ( F )

69 ) Bowmore Summer - October 10 Jahre 1995 - 2005 46%

The nose is immediately Islay; rich with
notes of smoke and salt before revealing
aromas of seaweed and peat. The mid
weigthted body leads to a mouth
coating palate of peatiness which is
heavily phenolic: rich with the earthy,
smoky taste of Islay. Thereafter a fresh,
